Freijdag services
From brainstorming to the development of complete concepts. Studio Freijdag would love to collaborate with you on your project.
workshop / event
Bring the gathering to you. Freijdag offers two ways to work together.
Commissioned Workshops or event
You bring a context or a seed, this can be an exhibition, a symposium, a care-centred event, or a personal event that needs some hands on creativity or artistic concept. Sanne Freijdag will design and facilitate a workshop that connects working with our hands while in conversation to embody the topic. Or think bigger and collaborate on a full event.
Gossib Gathering
Is Sanne Freijdag's own ongoing workshop series, rooted in care as a collective practice. All gatherings are small, slow, and built around the idea that making things together is a way of finding eachother in community. They come in three forms:
Care, broadly
for anyone who gives or receives care, and wants to think about what that actually means.
Men & Care
an intentional space for men to explore care through craft and conversation, without the armour.
The (not quite a) Baby Shower
designed for someone expecting. More intentional than a party. A space to be held and find community.
social design
Studio Freijdag designs with people, not just for them. Using collaborative methodologies and intersectional research, developing concepts that address human needs, particularly for care systems, non profits and good causes. Bringing together diverse perspectives, solving real problems and doing so in a sustainable way that fosters community and wellbeing.
personal artwork
Something made with you. Owned by you.
There are two bodies of personal work available as commissions. Both begin with proximity to the body and relationship as a material. Both result in a fine-art print that belongs to you.
Skin to Kin
a photograph of skin-to-skin contact between you and your child. The image is made carefully, unhurriedly, a quiet record of one of the most fundamental forms of care. You receive a fine-art print in your chosen size, and a digital version for private use.
Ordinary Milk
human milk, cultured and photographed as the complex, living substance it actually is. We arrange a moment for the collection of your breastmilk. Then the cultures are grown, composing the image. What you receive is a print that reframes your breastmilk as a piece of art.

art direction
This proces goes beyond the eye, to challenge perceptions and create care and human centered results. Drawing from understanding, how aesthetics influences engagement and understanding, Freijdag knows how to weave together ethics with aesthetics.
gaphic design
After creating a story, concept or idea Studio Freijdag can also package it. With inhouse graphic design basics and a wide network of very talended designers and illustrators making something that stand out and feels good, is a peace of cake.
vision / mission
Freijdag envisions a society where children, parents, caregivers and the elderly are structurally supported, valued and protected. Strong care systems, social structures and education are not secondary priorities, but the foundation of a healthy, equal and resilient society for future generations.
Freijdag works with healthcare organisations, NGOs, policymakers and public institutions to strengthen social, health and care systems that support vulnerable groups, like parents, children or marginalised groups. developing inclusive, sustainable and evidence-informed solutions that improve well-being, increase awareness and contribute to more equal access to care, knowledge and support.
manifesto
Freijdag believes that caring for others is a societal responsibility, not an individual burden. Care should be accessible to everyone, because it creates well-being for the collective. That's why Freijdag works from an intersectional perspective, recognising that social inequality, health outcomes and access to care are deeply connected.
Human biology and psychology have not evolved at the same pace our modern society did. Many current systems prioritise productivity, efficiency and individuality over real human well-being. Freijdag advocates for a shift towards systems designed around natural human needs: physical, psychological and social.
