Looking for
radical connection
Vision
We want change for next generations. But make care and education an after thought. Therefore Freijdag strives for a society where children and parents are appreciated, supported and empowered, and advocates for equality and well-being through innovative, sustainable design solutions rooted in intersectional feminism.
Mission
We hope to help fascilitate a more equal, fulfilled and connected generation.
Freijdag explores human nature within a not so natural eviroment. Striving for societal shift, so humans can thrive in a modern society. Through sustainable, inclusive solutions, that provide a new awareness.
Manifest
Freijdag embraces the idea that parenthood should be given greater recognition, for the crucial role it plays in shaping new generations and thus society as a whole. Looking through a feminist lens, we focus on design solutions around the health and well-being of society and strive for sustainable solutions that enrich the lives of women, families and the broader community. By questioning equality and equity within parenthood and beyond, we aim to drive social change.
Not so long ago, humans lived in a completely different environment; evolution has not had time to catch up with the busy lives we lead today and our babies still respond like primordial beings. If we adapt society to our natural, physiological and psychological needs, children, parents but ultimately everyone will reap the benefits, huge benefits that is!
At Freijdag, strive for a shift from profit-oriented to well-being-oriented, to allow human nature to thrive optimally. We believe crucial information should be accessible so that informed choices can be made. So that a new generation can experience more community, equality, and connection to nature, leading to a more fulfilled and confident life.
Freya is the ancient Norse goddess of love, beauty, fertility and sexuality. The day she was honored used to be Friday. Like many days of the week are associated with ancient gods and entities. Freydag believes that the use of symbolism, folklore, (his)stories and art, can be powerful tools to communicate new ideas. As is the importance of research and science to make new findings and shape people's lives in ways that complement our nature and needs.
